Māngai will work with our hapū and other hapū māngai on Ngā Pūriri Pūmau to work toward and through negotiations with the Crown to seek meaningful redress and the return of whenua, resources, and recognition that reflect the full extent of Crown breaches. We will maintain mana motuhake, uphold tikanga Māori, and ensure hapū rangatiratanga throughout the process and ensure timely and effective communication between Ngā Pūriri Pūmau, our hapū, and the Crown. We will act with integrity, courage, and due diligence and maintain a dual focus on economic development and Tiriti redress.
