It is our shared duty to look after our Marae with full respect and leave it as given, if not better.

8a. Working Bee
I intend to participate in the working bee at Pirikotaha

I can help with dinner preparations
A working bee over at Pirikotaha will be held after lunch this is also a time to wānanga on our tātai to each other. A list for the Marae will also be supplied to help in that area also. If you are able to participate please BYO gardening tools, mowers, weedeater's, protective gear, working clothes etc. During this time we may also need uri in the kitchen to organise BBQ for dinner. More hands make light work.
9. Koha
I intend to contribute food. (please see section below)

I also can help in the kitchen to prepare meals.

With contributions from descendants, hapū can gather proudly and confidently to accommodate and feed everyone. Marae hireage for the weekend is $400 + $150 bond (refundable).
9a. Suggested menu for weekend (Saturday BBQ/Potluck) * if anyone local has a BBQ they can bring please do and mention below.
(Hot meal will be supplied Friday evening and basics for Saturday & Sunday breakfast (porridge, bread, butter, tea/coffee/milk/sugar/cordial). Uri are welcomed to add to this menu.

EVENT: Movie Night Screening of Disney's Lion King Reo Māori
Last November 2021 our Comms team received support from our hapū hui for a fun whānau event to be held this November 2022. We are happy to bring a screening of Lion King Reo Māori outdoors at Parawhenua, Saturday 19th Nov. Please BYO seat, blanket, snacks. Screening is intended to start at 7.45pm. T-shirt sales will help us cover some of our screen hire costs, but any additional koha is welcomed via our Open Collective Portal. This is a FREE EVENT.
